ATA

American Translators Association

ATA was established to advance the translation and interpreting professions and foster the professional development of individual translators and interpreters.  ATA's 10,000 members include translators, interpreters, teachers, project managers, web and software developers, language company owners, hospitals, universities, and government agencies.

NCIHC

National Council on Interpreting in Healthcare

The NCIHC is a multidisciplinary organization whose mission is to promote and enhance language access in health care in the United States.

CCHI

Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters

The healthcare interpreter’s career path includes attaining a national interpreter certification. Interpreters are essential healthcare workers and an integral part of the patient care team. National certification puts the medical interpreter profession on par with other professions, including other allied healthcare professionals.
